ADA test

The purpose of the test is to assess an athletes ability to accelerate and then decelerate.

The method is developed and published by Dr. Damian J. Harper and the article is found here.

In the original study a radar gun was used to measure speed. With MUSCLELAB you can use the Laser Speed unit.

The athlete is sprinting from zero to about 20m with maximal effort and then brake to zero speed as fast as possible. It is recommended to take one step backward (backpedaling) when stopping to get a defined stop.
